At Westminster clinic, Dr Rogers has seen a marked increase in the number of Afro hair transplants, not just for men but more significantly for women.

Tightly braided hair styles are resulting in many women needing hair transplants to improve hair loss on the hairline, temples and side burn areas.

Often started young, in pre teens and teens, it can leave black women looking balding by the time they are in their twenties. No cream or lotions or shampoos can stop this, only changing hair styles away from braids to softer styles can help. But it’s often too late by the time it’s noticed and then the only choice is hair transplants.
